My work often has intricate details within a solid form, whether it be a functional piece or sculpture. I like the idea of viewers getting close in order to see the small parts, then stepping back to see those parts become a whole. This is how I view a lot of what goes on around me—by absorbing the details of my daily life, I begin to form a richer understanding of my world.
